How to Order

Each House Proud Card order is hand drawn or painted, and just as every house reflects the personality of its owner, I try to reflect that personality in the finished product.  To order, just email or telephone me and I will tell you more about your part of the process, which consists of providing the photos and perhaps a story or two.      

These note cards are 4.5" by 5.5" embossed ivory cardstock, and come in packages of 30 cards with envelopes.  The image of your home fills the raised area on the front of the card, with your address printed along the bottom of the image if you desire.  You may also have your address printed on the envelope flap or a personal greeting inside the cards.

I work from photographs that you send me via email or regular post, or that I take if you are located near me in Northeastern Massachusetts.   The more photos, the better.  I will need at least one shot that most closely represents the view you want shown, along with a few taken from several feet to each side of the preferred view.  Think about what time of day your house looks best, how the shadows and light affect the composition.  Try squatting down low or holding the camera up as high as you can to see slightly different angles.  Architectural details that get lost in full house shots should be photographed close up, and then a distance shot is helpful because it allows me to see the lay of the land and to design the background.  I will edit out power lines, street signs, parked cars, and anything that detracts from the finished drawing or painting.
